The N.C. Bail Enforcement Agency is based out of Durham with a secondary office located in Lenoir County. The Task Force covers the entire state of North Carolina and Agents are spread throughout the counties. Federal Law allows the Task Force to cross state lines and partner with local Law Enforcement when needed, but they typically have Federal Jurisdictional Authority. The Task Force is mostly comprised of combat veterans, former law enforcement and experienced bail bondsmen.

Lead by Commander and K-9 Agent Sekayi Brown, our Team handles multiple case types. These include Bond Terminations for failing to comply with set bond conditions and High-Risk Warrants for individuals who have missed court and have been issued an Order for Arrest (OFA) by a presiding judge.  Whether the defendants are charged with Traffic, Misdemeanors or Felonies, the Team can be assigned to apprehend them.

Agent Brown was first licensed as a Bail Bondsman in NC in 2005, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this state-wide Task Force. He served Honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1998 to 2005. His military career includes multiple Special Operations deployments, Security Forces, Military Police, and serving at Camp Lejeune in an Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Detail that guarded the Base and assisted the United Stated Secret Service in the protection of former President George Bush in 2003.

Brown worked as an intern for Carlsbad CA Police’s Vice Unit in 2011 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Security Management from Park University in 2018. In the summer of 2020, he completed 6 weeks at Ventosa Kennel Police Training where he was certified as a Police K9 Handler, and his four-legged partner K9 Sami was certified in Narcotics, Tracking, and Apprehension.
